Audiophools was created by a group of engineers who have all worked in electronics for many years, involved in the design and manufacture of products including audio equipment, digital audio processing, radio and RF gear and much, much more.


We are all music & audio enthusiasts outside of our professional lives, with decades of accumulated experience covering many makes and types of audio gear dating from the 60s and earlier to the latest state-of-the-art equipment.

None of us are professionally involved with any "named" audio or HiFi manufacturers and any reviews or discussion of equipment will be totally impartial.


Note that our own informational posts on the site are strictly from a technical perspective unless they say otherwise.

Equipment choices and how any particular equipment sounds to any individual are very subjective and come down to personal taste - and sounding good to its owner is the most important result with any audio equipment.

This is the most basic principle of personal preference and taste, recognised for thousands of years: De gustibus, non est disputandum

Our aim is to help people achieve the results they want in their audio equipment, without basing decisions on internet myths, or getting over-charged, or being misled by dubious (or plain false) advertising claims in the process.

In other words, we want to make sure people don't get phooled!
